We have come to expect discomfort and pain in our lives, in particular in our interactions with others; whether it be family conflict, emotional reactivity in intimate relationships, negotiating agreements with housemates, giving and receiving feedback at work, struggling to make progress in meetings, or trying to relate to that person who you just can’t bear to hear another word from.
And on top of this, we tend to find just as much conflict within ourselves.

As common as it is, this is not a prerequisite of being human. We can choose another way to live; to move from a life of barely surviving to joyously thriving.

In these weekend trainings we learn the skills, practical tools and insights of Compassionate / Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to support this shift; to deepen, enrich and transform all of our relationships, whether with loved ones, colleagues or ourselves.

We journey together in an experiential and interactive exploration of how we communicate, using individual and group processes, games, exercises and meditations to integrate the teachings.

Having witnessed how life-changing this work has been for millions around the world, we wish to make it available to as many people as possible, so:

Payment is by donation.

At previous weekends all contributions (ranging from €50 to €250) were received with gratitude. We want you to join us even if you do not pay anything.

This half day training will focus on:

  • The language we've been conditioned to use, how it disconnects us and how we can translate it into language that encourages connection

  • Using honest expression and empathic listening to encourage a flow to and from our hearts

  • Connecting with what's really alive in us through self-empathy

  • Establishing clarity and common ground by making non-evaluative observations

  • Recognition of our common feelings and needs, and distinguishing these from thoughts, interpretations, and strategies

  • How we can make life more wonderful, through making clear and effective requests
